Friday Favorites: Beauty Addition

I thought it would be fun to share with you guys some beauty products I am loving right now. So here we go!
img_68141. Artistry Hydra-V: I was recently introduced to Artisty’s Hydra-V skin care line by my future sister-in-law. At the time my skin was experiencing major breakouts due to the change in seasons and bad eating habits, so when she told me to try the Hydra-V line I jumped on it. I figured what is there to lose? I am pretty selective when it comes to skin care products. I find something I like and I stick with it. She explained the line to me and I was all game. The Hydra-V line not only hydrates your skin but actually makes it feel more supple and soft. I saw results within a couple of days and my breakouts cleared in less than a week. I found that even though my skin is considered oily, it still needs moisture and hydration. My pores have been reduced and my skin feels amazing. You guys, my husband even noticed. It’s been a game changer and I am so thrilled about it. Thanks Katie!

2. Jergens Natural Glow//Tan Towel : I have been using both Jergens Natural Glow lotion and Tan Towels for years now. The lotion smells so good and not like that nasty sunless tanner smell that makes you want to hurl. The Tan Towel is great as well because there is zero smell and there is no streaking. It is fool-proof! Especially in the winter, they are the perfect combination to add color to your skin while keeping your skin moisturized. I use the Tan Towels about once a week and the lotion I use daily.

3. Kevin Murphy Repair-Me Wash and Rinse:  I’ve noticed a considerable amount of damage on my hair lately. Due to being blonde, having babies so close together, experiencing hair loss and regrowth, my hair has been put through the ringer. Being a former hairstylist I know a little or two about hair products and this shampoo and conditioner is amazing, especially during the colder months. I experience major breakage, dryness and static. This duo together maintains all of that and a major bonus, the smell is out of this world yummy.

4. Tartelette Clay Matte Eyeshadow Palette: Let me stress here, I rarely use eye shadow. For one, I don’t feel like I am very good at it. Two, my eyes are huge and a lot of times it just accentuates them. Three and the biggest reason, it takes too long to apply. However with all that being said, when I do wear eye shadow, I love this palette from Tarte. All neutral colors, you really can’t go wrong here. My favorite combo is the four in the middle.

5. Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner: I LOVE this liquid liner from Stila! My favorite makeup product by far. My sister told me about this little gem and it has been a game changer. No smudge, stays all day, no nasty crease lines and is so easy to apply. Amazing. It is a must! And last but not least Anastasia Perfect Brow Pencil. I just recently started to fill in my brows and I am no pro by all means, but this pencil has done wonders for my little rainbow eyebrows. It stays all day and is super easy to apply.

Those are my top 5 (or more) beauty related products as of now! I hope you enjoyed reading. As always thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!!

Love, Bess

Life Lately

img_6834This week I canceled everything and decided we needed a week at home with nothing to do, no where to go and no one to see. Sounds a little abrupt and maybe harsh but this season has been rough to say the least. Rough in the sense that we have been fighting sickness for a good solid two months. Usually it starts with Ro, goes to Rocky, hits me and J is the last to get it. There have been mulitple stomach bugs and many virus’ flying around and it will just about make a person go crazy. So Monday morning all schedules were in full motion until I got Ro up and started to unzip his onsie to change his diaper and noticed hives all.over.him. It scared me half to death and I immedetly got both Rocky and Ro into the car and headed to the doctor. Turns out its just a virus that needs to work its way out but it was enough for me to say ENOUGH. I get it, Ro is in this stage where EVERYTHING goes into his mouth. So natually he gets it. But good grief can a momma get a little relief?!?! This week has been wonderful to say the least. I get so caught up in our schedules and busy lifes and feel the need to commit to everything because the boys need it! We all need it at times, but then there are times where you just need to say pause. The entire week has been spent in our pjs with no makeup and no schedules, with home cooked meals and late night TV. A little medicine for the soul. Hope you all are having a good week!

xx, Bess img_6710img_6833Our Gingerbread Village! Rocky has never been more excited! He loved doing this and felt so proud!img_6832img_6831They were cooking me up some “car pancakes.” I mean there little imaginations are just so precious at this stage. Every day they are pulling out my kitchen tools to make something yummy for me. img_6735img_6736Day Bathin. Try it. The boys love it when we do this in the afternoon. Bubbles and toys they played for at least an hour. Gave me time to paint my toes too! Win win.img_6829img_6830img_6828We got our first snow yesterday and Rocky was so excited! He kept saying, “Momma we NEED to get out there, please!” I couldn’t say no and naps got pushed back because of it. Gosh I sure do love these babies.

Christmas Tree Farm Photos

5r9a8061This year I was feeling spontaneous and decided to forgo the traditional front porch setting and head to a local Christmas tree farm to shoot family photos. My best friend, Sierra captured these and I love how they turned out. The photo session lasted about 6 minutes all in all. Ro face planted into the icy grass and it was all down hill after that. The fact that it was freezing cold when we took these wasn’t the best planning on my part, but it is what it is and we made the best of it! At one point both boys were crying and screaming and really all we could do was laugh at the situation. There were other photographers and families at the tree farm taking these beautiful photos where everyone was sitting and smiling perfect and then the next tree over is my family screaming and crying. OVER A PINECONE. Real life. Crazy and chaotic, but its perfect. It’s real. img_6421img_64165r9a81325r9a80825r9a8174-15r9a8154img_6415img_6428
